No matter how one works hard, there are always hurdles and obstacles one has to face. People who face all of them and keep chasing their dreams are the ones who succeed. Our model and actor Vishnu Malhotra’s life story is certainly one of the examples of it. Vishnu Malhotra from Dehradun, Uttarakhand was always fond of cricket and his dream was to play cricket for India. But destiny had different plans for him. He never knew that he would be part of the most glamorous industry. Although, his parents were not supportive of cricket as well as modeling. It was quite tough for him to leave cricket.
“I played state level cricket. My parents never really liked that. They always wanted me to become a Chartered Accountant. I left cricket and CA studies in the middle. That was not something I wanted to do. I am the only one in my family who opted a different profession.”
While in college, he used to get motivation and compliments from his fellow mates. He made his first professional portfolio in 2016. It all started when he got the opportunity through his friend to do his first show with Streax Professional in 2017 in Delhi. That was the whole turning point of his life.

He was always keener to walk on ramp shows and acting as well. He did his first Ramp show in Delhi Times Lifestyle Fashion Week for Siddartha Tytler. Apart from that he also walked in Lakme Fashion Week, Mysore Fashion Week, India Couture Fashion Week, Amazon Fashion Week, and many more. He has worked with brands like United Colors Of Benetton, Monte Carlo, Manyavar Mohey, and different designers. He wishes to work with Sabyasachi in the future. Along with that, he has worked in the Punjabi Music Industry as well.

Vishnu along with his dreams is a businessman as well. He had his gym in his homeland and now he is currently running his Event Management company in Uttarakhand named Weddings By Vishnu.
“It was quite important for me to have a strong financial base. My parents still do not support me much with my passion and dream. But one day I will make them understand and change their viewpoint towards this industry.”
Being indulged in gymming, somewhere also became the reason for his rejections in the modeling industry, specifically ramp shows. Though, he never gave up and worked upon himself and his skills. And, finally, he fulfilled his dream of walking on renowned fashion shows.
“It was quite funny at that time. I used to have a broad gym body and was perfect for shoots and shows. My interest was in ramp shows. I was rejected many times because ramp models need to be lean. I then worked on myself and made myself fit for the ramp.”
Talking in-depth about this industry, Vishnu also faced misleading opportunities during his struggling period.
“It happened with me twice. I was all new and I was asked to pay a certain amount to get an advertisement shoot. I paid and it turned out to be fake. However, I never lost hope. It rather made me strong and a great observer.”
Apart from being passionate about modeling, Vishnu is a mountain person. He loves to go on solo trips and exploring the peace of the mountains, meeting new people, and knowing them.
“It gives me peace of mind when I travel solo. And knowing different people and making friends.”
Focused and stubborn about being successful one day and also proving himself in front of his parents, Vishnu Malhotra is hailing and winning each part of his passion for modeling every day.
