Yashraj’s initial life stage before entering the modeling industry was full of struggles and challenges. He went through many hardships, due to family and financial crises at a very early age.
“I was born in Chittorgarh. My family background and income resource are by farming. When I was five or six, my father passed away and we were facing huge financial crises. At that time, my maternal uncle financed all my education. At the age of eight, I moved to Kota for my schooling. After schooling, I moved to Delhi and did B.com in graduation and did my master’s from Udaipur. In my initial days of college, I started working. I worked as a salesman for almost two years and also as a basketball coach too”
Asking about his motivation to get into this industry, he first got the spark at the time of schooling. He started getting appreciation and compliments from his friends, that he can also try modeling. Later, he joined Style Skool, the agency that manages him. The founder of Style Skool, Abhimanyu Singh Tomar, motivated him a lot in brushing up his talent hidden inside.
As Yashraj started his modeling career in the pandemic, it was quite a tough and struggling journey for him.
“ I was new to this industry, and everything I did, I did myself. I searched out for photographers and built my portfolios. Sent many portfolios and got rejected so many times. Sometimes even after being selected they used to replace or reject me in the end. That used to be quite disheartening for me. Pandemic taught me so much patience and also gave me chances to work upon myself more.”
When asked about his experiences in this industry, it has been quite fruitful for him so far. He learned so many things which turned out to be the brownie point for him.
“If you ask about experiences, every industry has pros and cons, it depends upon us, how we deal and overcome it. If I talk about my experiences, it was good so far. You get to know senior models and get knowledge about the industry works in precisely. You work with them and you learn from them too. They help you in your style sense and grooming. And, if asked about any bad experiences, I haven’t had anything as such apart from the rejections in the early stage of my modeling.”
Yashraj was also selected for the camp organized by FDCI and Wilderbee Talent Camp. He was in the top fifteen in the campaign. Along with other models, he was getting trained under the guidance of a very renowned supermodel and founder of Wilderbee Talent Camp, Laxmi Rana. Along with a very eminent and profound jury of Jamal Shaikh, Manish Malhotra, Payal Pratap, Nikhil Rishi Mehra, and Suket Dhir.
“It was my dream which came true. I am the person who always writes in my diary about what is my goal, what I want to achieve and what is my dream. I always dreamt of this day and when it came true, it was a proud moment for me. Ramp walking in front of such big personalities, has always been my dream. It was a really big moment for me with this campaign.”

Asking about the casting couch and manipulation faced by models, Yashraj said,
“Being a newbie into this industry, you should keep your circle good and should not fall for fake opportunities. You should learn to know about people”
His point of view regarding financial balance was that people should look for a static income.
“I believe one should always keep their base strong by doing some static job. Modeling is more of a passion rather than the only career. Even I am also doing a corporate job and I do night shifts too because modeling is not a static income”
