The towering Goan model, Amanda Vas is determined to make a mark in the pageant world. She is a Biotechnology student, a Bharatnatyam dancer, and first runner up at the Miss TGPC (The Great Pageant Community) season 7.
The 20-year-old model is passionate about her education, besides modeling. She looks forward to completing her MSc in Biotechnology. She placed second at The Great Pageant Community which is an online pageant in 2019. The top three girls get the opportunity to go to Mumbai, Pune, or another place to train under Alesia Raut and Anjali Raut at the Cocoaberry Talent and Academy. She was really praised for her performance and went on to get crowned as the first runner-up at the finale of the competition in Mumbai. Since then, Amanda has walked ramps and graced features in magazines. She has walked the ramp at India Fashion Week and Femina Stylista West 2020. She also won a Stylista award and the subtitle of Sustainable Stylista. Her social media is full of photoshoots against the beautiful landscapes of Goa itself.
Amanda plans on becoming a full-time model although she prioritizes her education as well. She inherits a lot of passion for studies and graduating from her mother. In an interview with Opening Doorz, she talked about her experience in the pageant world. She shares, “Modelling helped me focus on getting fit and taking care of my skin and hair. I never wanted to be someone else; I just wanted to be the best version of me”. She is also conscious about taking care of the environment and talked about participating in a beach-cleaning drive organized by her father.
