Simple Haircare and Skincare Routines to Try Out

Simple Haircare and Skincare Routines to Try Out

Over the years you must have tried many different haircare and skin care products. You must have spent thousands of dollars on inexpensive products and salons. But when you begin to simplify your life, you realize that the more natural your products are and the fewer products you use, your hair and skin never look healthier. We all want to look and feel our best and beauty is a very personal thing for each unique individual. A simple beauty routine can highlight all the natural beauty that we already have. We are not dermatologists or hair experts, but we have come up with a few things that have worked well with different skin types.

Sleep

Sleep is extremely important to you for your health and your overall well-being. When you get plenty of sleep, you will notice that you have fewer bloodshot eyes, introducing the bags under your eyes. You feel and look refreshed and rested.

Morning Routine

The first thing that you do when you wake up in the morning is to have a large glass of lukewarm water. It’s been all night and your body is a little bit dehydrated. The warm water also helps to flesh out your organs and help start your digestive system. Hydrating first thing in the morning also helps reduce some of the puffiness that you get in your face overnight.

We would also suggest that you use a body brush before showering to help exfoliate your skin, slough off any dry are dead skin and it also promotes new cell growth. This makes your skin looks smooth and healthy. After you shower, you should use body butter. You can make your body butter at home with coconut oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter.

Cleanser

You should wash your face every morning and night with a cleanser that suits your skin type. You should try out a vitamin C cleanser while you’re at it. You will like how vitamin C helps to brighten your skin.

Serum

You can follow up with the serum. It will help with uneven skin tone and little fine lines and wrinkles. It will help soften your skin and you will notice an enormous difference in your wrinkles, especially around your eye area. Make sure that before you apply any makeup you always layer your skin with a high-SPF sunscreen. Make sure to choose a sunscreen that is nongreasy and lightweight.

Exfoliation

Wash your face to remove any oil, dirt, or any leftover makeup. Once a week it would help if you exfoliated with a gentle exfoliator. Apply it on your face making small circles along your face and neck to give your skin a proper exfoliation treatment. You will notice that it does brighten your face quite a bit. For people with oily skin, it is recommended to exfoliate your face at least twice a week but people with much drier skin should not be too harsh on their skin and limit the usage to only once a week.

Hair

You should shower every day but only wash your hair about every three to four days. It will take a few months to train your hair to adapt to this new washing schedule. When you wash your hair every day you will notice that it will feel greasy, and the rate of hair fall will also increase. Find a pair of shampoos and conditioner that leaves your hair squeaky clean without stripping all of your natural oils. You can make your shampoo at home using a few drops of pure castile soap, a teaspoon of baking soda, and four ounces of water, and shaking it up well.

You can make your conditioner at home using a mixture of 2 oz of apple cider vinegar and 2 ounces of water in a spray bottle. Spray it in the shower, leave it for about 2 minutes and then rinse. You will be amazed at how soft this makes your hair and the apple cider vinegar also helps with pH balance on the scalp to prevent dandruff.

These are a few things that we have found will work for many people with different skin types. We hope that some of them will resonate with you and that they’ll work for you too, or maybe not. You are the only one who knows what truly makes you feel beautiful, healthy, and vibrant. We will keep coming up with more skin care and hair care routines until you find your perfect one.
