Actress Shefali Shah’s directorial debut ‘Someday’ will screen at the 18th Indian Film Festival Stuttgart, Germany. The short film has been written and directed by the actress and it was also selected for the 51st Annual USA Film Festival’s International Short Film & Video Competition.
‘Someday’ is the story of the relationship between a mother and a daughter. Vidhi is a frontline warrior who comes home after being on duty. She discovers that her mother is a victim of Alzheimer’s. They share conversations, some real and some imaginary. The film portrays the beautiful relationship between the two, united by love and blood, and separated by a door. Due to the pandemic, the festival will be virtual. The festival will take place from 21st to 25th July 2021. There will also be Q&As along with the online award ceremony and screening of the films.
The director of the film is super excited about the news. She says, “I can’t even begin to tell how excited I am with the news of ‘Someday’ to be screened at the 18th Indian Film Festival Stuttgart, making its reach across the globe. It’s a great honor”. Her last web series, ‘Delhi Crime’ won the award for Best Drama Series at the Emmys last year. Shefali Shah also won three awards for the same.
