Nikhil Parmar is a fashion model who is on his way to achieving milestones. Coming from Rajkot, Gujarat his passion for modeling made him persistent and diligent. Nikhil is presently working as a freelance model and working die-hard to build a strong career in modeling.
Nikhil was a studious child in his school years. But he was extremely introverted and would hardly talk to anyone. He was skinny and others used to bully him often. His maths teacher guided him.
” I had interest in studies but then I was an average student. When I changed my school after 7 standard. In new school I met better teachers and my academic performance improved exceptionally. Children used to bully me and I was not able to do anything. I was confident but sometimes it happens that one cannot do anything about it. I used to keep those things in mind. My maths teacher helped me. He guided me in my communication skills and in overall development”.
Nikhil carried a deep passion for modeling from his childhood days. His father bought a camera from his trip to Dubai. Then, he was young and loved to give different poses for pictures. He too shared a special bond with the camera and also loves taking pictures.
Nikhil was completely naive when started and had no guidance. During his college days, he used to click and edit pictures from his friend’s camera. He was then an influencer and also used to create music videos. Slowly, brands started approaching him for collaborations. He also did a few product shots for collaborated brands.
During the lockdown, Nikhil started working on self-portrait shoots. He used to take ideas from Pinterest and recreate them in his own ways. Nikhil got his first collaborated project with OPA reviews for barter collaboration. While working with OPA, he also filled the form of Galleri5 and after one year, his profile got recognized. Nikhil then did six to seven campaigns continuously and also did Proflixr face pack barter collaboration.
“There I used to decide everything. From styling to photography to clothes I used to decide all. As a result, I got interest in creative direction. I started following creative directors. Also, I am learning it. I think in future I would like to explore this field too”.
Nikhil has also worked with Myntra. Being featured on their app and website is the biggest achievement for him. Nikhil did eight Myntra spotlight campaigns. He loves to experiment with his styles. His styles are sometimes minimal and sometimes maximalist. Basically, Nikhil drives his inspiration from Hollywood movies’ characters. He loves doing editorial shoots and in the coming future wants to go in fast fashion.
Nikhil is creative and wants to create something from recycled clothes. He believes in a sustainable fashion. He never thought of pursuing engineering. Nikhil from earlier times wants to do something in fashion.
“I never thought of going in technical field. I was in 3rd year when I realised that engineering is not for me. After 12, if I would have tried for NIFT then today I would have had my own brand”.
Nikhil is graduated in mechanical engineering as mentioned earlier from VVP engineering college. During the lockdown this year, his father suffered from covid-19, and his family went through a really tough time. At that time Nikhil was completely broken. However, he did not change his positive attitude and hoped for the better health of his father.
“Though it was not very easy but I was positive. I believe that unless one is positive, one will not get positive results. Music have always been my first priority to stay positive. Now, I have started reading. On youtube I watch videos of Sadhguru and follow him. I have changed my routine. I get up at 5 in the morning for yoga.
