Tumken Sora from Lepa Rada district of Arunachal Pradesh won the title of Mr. Arunachal 2019. He got a direct entry to participate in one of the biggest pageants for men- Rubaru Mr. India scheduled to place at the end of this year. However, the finale of Mr. India was scheduled to take place last year but due to COVID, it got postponed. Along with winning the title Mr. Arunachal also won the Best Walk award.
Tumken is a 25-years-old who holds a degree in Science and Technology from the Jawaharlal Nehru College in Hyderabad. He is an aspiring model and an actor. Also, Tumken won the best actor award at the annual Arunachal Film Festival last year on December 28. Film Federation of Arunachal (FFA) in association state directorate of information and public relations organizes the Arunachal Film Festival every year. However, the award show took place virtually.
Therefore, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu facilitated him. He also congratulated him for winning the title and wished him luck for Rubaru Mr. India. Pema Khandu said he is sure that Tumken will bring laurel to Arunachal Pradesh.
