The Family Karma is America’s first south Asian show and its first season has created a buzz. Monika Vasani talked about how the show has broken many stereotypes related to the Indian community.
Monica Vaswani is a software specialist and Bollywood choreographer. She stole the hearts of the viewers with her bubbly personality and her passion for Indian culture. During the interview, with Pinkvilla USA she talked about the show that did not have any doctors in the cast. For instance, there was a pre-med dropout like her and no one was a doctor or an engineer that opposed the stereotypes. Further, she added that nobody had a view about how Indian households are, outside of movies. She also talked about how Indian culture and traditions fascinate her. She mentioned she always wanted to learn about India from the motherland and she feels blessed to be born into India’s culture which is so rich in traditions and moral values.
Season 2 of Family Karma will premier today on Bravo TV tonight 9/8c.
