The legendry athlete Milkha Singh breathed his last on June 18, due to post covid complication. He was 91. “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” star Farhan Akhtar who played the role of the late sprinter in his biopic expressed grief over his demise. The actor took to his social media and penned down a heartfelt note paying tribute to “Flying Sikh”. Farhan posted the picture with Milkha Singh and said, “You have touched all our lives. For those who knew you as a father and a friend, it was a blessing. For those who didn’t, your story was a constant source of inspiration and a reminder of humility in success. I love you with all my heart”.

Milkha Singh tested covid positive in May. He was dealing with post covid complications and was admitted to PGIMER. The news of his demise came after the demise of his wife Nirmal Kaur on June 13. After that, the family issued the official statement after the legendary sprinter left for his heavenly abode.
