Coming to her modeling journey, she shares her obsession for modeling since her childhood days.

From my childhood, I was obsessed with pageants and the glamour industry. I used to tell my mom that I want to be like the pageant models. I decided to go for modeling then.
Also, the pageant is all about a strong young woman who is confident and empowered with the goal. And, I feel I can inspire other women as well with my job.

Currently, Shubhi is preparing herself for civil services. As she wants to contribute to the nation in some way. Following this, Shubhi very strongly supports women’s empowerment.

“Absolutely, I strongly believe in women’s empowerment. I think right now, I want more women leaders and representatives to come up, inspire and support other women as well. It is very important because, there is equality but not fairness. Hence, I use my social media to inspire others. Also, I always try to help other girls who want to pursue such careers. This is what our duty is, to support, because together as a community, we conquer all”.

Shubhi uses her social media to bring a social change, and actively works towards it.

“I keep posting and creating awareness on a regular basis. Also, coming from girls’ school I make sure that how important it is to be independent and empowered in the current situation”.

Shubhi’s parents were against her modeling initially, as they were concerned about her studies. But, if you are passionate about anything you cross all the hurdles to achieving it.

“My parents were against modeling because they feel it will affect my studies.. But, if you are passionate enough and want to pursue it, you definitely make it. You have to prove everyone wrong and need to work really hard to manage both things. Similarly, I proved my parents wrong by scoring well in my exams. Hence, they let me pursue it.
It uses to be really tiring some days but it is what it is. You need to work hard”.

Shubhi was entitled with Miss Style Diva 2020, in Miss Rajasthan which was her first pageant. Later, she worked with brands like Kishore Jaipur, Lakme, Coco Soul, Dbydushyant, Satrangi, My Glam, Nicci Skincare, and many more. She has shot with Clarks Bandhanwara. Moreover, sharing about her first experience Shubhi says,

“Miss Rajasthan was a completely life-changing experience for me. As I was probably the youngest among all the top 28 girls. My overall personality changed for the good. I finally figured out, where my interest lies. This pageant gave my career a peak and I am so lucky to be a part of it . When I got the subtitle of Style Diva, I was super happy. I love to experiment with my dressings, so yes, it was worth it”.

Modeling changed Shubhi’s life both professionally and personally. But, coming to her personal life it is a combination of both positive and negative.

“I love to face the camera. Now, I know this is where I belong to. This career groomed my personality and made me believe that dreams come true. This career is very fascinating. Thus, deals with a lot of taboos too. People often make some wrong assumptions which are quite demotivating. Other than that, I absolutely love my profession and this impacted my life for a good”.

Shubhi has gone through a real tough time, where people use to bully her on her weight and beauty. But nobody was able to break her strength and motivation for her career, hence she made her own way.

Before joining this industry everyone told me that I do not look like a model because of body weight and the not-so-perfect beauty. All those things made me feel very devastating, as this career is opposite to what my parents want me to pursue. But, I gathered all my courage, stepped into this glamour world and did it for myself.

Her experience in the industry has been learning and fulfilling at the same time.

“My experience till now is really great. This industry is safe and has lots of options and career paths. You experience new things and meet new people and obviously, you get face value.
Although, things take time consistency is something that matters here”.

Talking more about the role of social media in today’s world, Shubhi says,

“Social media is a boon to this generation. It not only creates awareness but also supports real talent and could make people go viral, who need it. For me, it is something where I show my skills. Being a self-taught makeup artist, who serves looks on Instagram, this is a great platform”.

Shubhi also expresses her gratitude towards her mother as she considers her as the source of motivation to her.

“The source of my motivation would be my mom. She keeps pushing me to be out of the box and to be extraordinary. Also, I love to step out of my comfort zone. So anything for me could be inspiring”.

Shubhi wants to break the taboo around menstruation in society.

Girls in my community are asked to sleep on the floor, not go to the kitchen or temples during their menstruation cycle.
These myths are really of no use and it is 2021, we need to stop spreading them.

It was really very positive interviewing Shubhi Dhaneta, hope you had something to take away from this.
