Earlier, Apurav faced criticism upon his height being not as perfect of a ramp model.

When asked about his campaign with Raymond Apurav said,

I was asked to shed some weight in 2 months after which the campaign took place. It’s almost 5 years since I have been the face of Raymond. Later, I also campaigned with some other brands like Coca-Cola international.

Apurav has always been passionate about modeling since he was a kid. He always admired seeing people walk on the ramp as a kid and wanted to do the same.

His family belongs from a forced background. Apurav also says if he had not been a model, he would have joined the army. His family had a thought that modeling isn’t a carrier. But, as Apurav started working more and as he was published in newspapers and banners, his family was proud of him.

When asked about Apurav hobbies and interests he says

I really likes running, playing football, yoga, cycling, trekking and traveling. As I love trekking and travelling in modeling I also get to travel lots of places.

Apurav faced a lot of rejections at the beginning of his modeling carrier. He says he faced rejections for his height, not having an athletic figure. Throughout his journey, he brought a lot of changes to himself. He started working out and changed his body type.

He shares one of his experiences of the shoot with us.

I have never taken a polaroid of myself. During my first shoot with Raymond I was a bit stressed. Then Tarun Khervar sir told me not to worry and to be calm. Madhu Dutta who is Raymond’s marketing head gave me the opportunity to work with them for the shoot.

Apurav says the biggest challenge right now is competition as many people want to become a model. He also says modeling is a really good carrier but is also tough. The only way one can stay in it is by being professional, focused, and Hardwork.

When asked about his future carrier goals he replied saying,

I will stay in modeling. But, I also want to try in acting field and start my own clothing brand. I have also worked with all the celebrity designers of India.

Furthermore, when asked about his experience with different brands he worked with he said,

My experience were really good with them. It completely changed my life, from where I was to where I am today.

Apurav has not been connected to any social causes but, he provides food to the needy and helps them.

He has also worked in one of the love songs of Neha Basu, which was released early this year. Apurav has also walked in different fashion weeks, like Lakme, FDCI, etc. He says he had great experiences in those ramp walks.
