Meet Arjun Pandey, a fashion model, and an engineer following his passion and love for fashion modeling with consistency. Hailing from a small town in Jharkhand, he aspires to achieve milestones in his career. He loves facing the camera and modeling makes him look trendy and he can be a style maker for others. Arjun was in the final year of graduation when started working in the south Indian industry. One of the directors in the industry told him to try his luck in Mumbai. He got his placement in the company through university but did not join. Arjun went to Mumbai to live his dreams.
Arjun did his graduation in mechanical and production engineering from Sathyabama University, Chennai. He is originally from Kiriburu, Jharkhand. Arjun is doing modeling since 2015 and recently got an opportunity to work in Canada, with an international agency.
Arjun believes the glamour industry is basically a female-dominated industry. There are very few works for male models. Even those works are reserved only for the favorite models of the brands. When asked how male models should survive in this industry, Arjun says
“One should focus more on fitness and grooming. Moreover, one should try to do print shoots if he is short-heighted and can not do ramp walk. Also, try in television commercial because they look for characters. One should try unless one finds the path”.
Arjun also did theatre to improve his language and skills. His main motive was to get into TVCs, he never aimed towards getting into acting. Therefore, he improved a lot and did TVCs for brands. Now, Arjun is all set to join a Canadian modeling agency named Soli Talent Agency. He would probably move to Canada by the end of this year and start his new journey.
Arjun has been a part of many acting projects such as the MTV musical, “Intezar koi aane ko hai” movie, worked in Life Ok promo, Bajaj Allianz shoot, and many more. He loves facing the camera. Arjun has always wanted to be an influencer which was not possible from modeling. To follow his passion he joined the acting industry as well. However, Arjun never wanted to be a model.
“My first shoot as a model was with Skybags. I got it through facebook. They came across my profile and replaced me with one of their students. The company called me for shoot and paid me 10k”.
The modeling industry is not very stable when it comes to models. For this, Arjun feels that one should be working other than being a model to financially support themselves. He said, in the industry, there is cutthroat competition, new faces are coming in. Therefore, one should have a plan B ready. Also, he believes social media is extremely beneficial for aspiring models. Further, it helped him to get noticed. It has become very easy to reach out to production houses through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, email, and more.

Arjun’s biggest achievement to date was when he got featured in Vogue and also when he got hired by an international agency in Canada. He considers the best part of modeling is, it is always fun.
Arjun has quite a lot of experience now on how the industry works. He has worked with many renowned designers and brands. Arjun has done shoots for designers like Nivedita Shboo, Vikram Francisco, Rohit Verma, Jyotimomi, Nick Roshan, Annesdeen Label, Ajmal Kha, Saybasachi Couture, and many more. He walked the ramp of Pune Fashion Week, Indian fashion week, Lakme fashion week, international glam fashion week, India expo fashion week Pune, International runway week, Leather Fashion Show Chennai, and the list is long.
“For me the best part of being a model is to face the camera and always groomed. I love meeting different people. In modeling, it is all about money and fame. Also, people starts following one as an idol. I want to be a style statement for others”.
Arjun loves to spend his quality time with family and friends. He loves to be around children. Arjun is an animal lover. So if not modeling then he would be an animal shelter owner and would have given shelter to all the animals. He is fashionable and always keeps himself up to date as per current fashion trends. Adding to which, Arjun said,
“Fashion trends are getting updated every week. One will always get to see new arrivals at stores. But one should also know how to be fashionable and be in trend through low costs. Importantly, one needs to understand the fashion closely and be the way they are. Fashion is inner peace”.
Talking about his journey in the modeling and acting industry so far, Arjun revealed,
“Things are beautiful in life. If one feels good they will look good. My journey so far has been amazing. It was filled with different emotions, sentiments, ups and down. However, in the end I am happy with whatever god has provided me. Soon, I will be moving to Canada and will get an international exposure. In coming time I would also like to help new talents to grow”.
