Television actor, Pearl V Puri was arrested on Friday, June 4 in a rape case. The actor was accused of raping a minor. The case was filed in 2019 at Waliv Police station. Soon after the news of his arrest came out, his friends from the industry defended him and extended support. However, today Vasai DCP Sanjay Kumar Patil has shed some light on the case said that accusations made are not false. Further, DCP mentioned that the actor’s name has come in the investigation at the press conference, and there is evidence against him. Therefore, there is a reason behind his arrest. He also added that the victim has filed the case under The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at the Waliv police station.

The alleged incident happened back in October 2019. The victim complained about the abdomen pain to her mother. The father of the victim lodged the complaint at Versova Police station. However, at that time the identity of the accused was unrevealed. When the case went to Waliv police, they found out Puri had a role in the incident.
