My Mane Does Not Shine

My Mane Does Not Shine There are days when your hair just does not listen to you. Frustrating, right? Well, crazy hair days add to being a bolster in our ‘easy-going’ lives. It is very common for your hair to get damaged, and there are cures for it.

But do you not get the desired results by using hair treatment products, better shampoos, and conditioners? Now that is completely normal too.  The Media and advertisements show bouncy and shiny hair, with overexaggerated hair goals, while you sit looking at your brush and then the mirror. We all know the reality!

Well going to salons for proper treatments and hair care may be the only option left now. But no, that is not the case. You can take proper care of your locks at home too! Just practice them accordingly and you will definitely see better results.

Natural always beats chemicals

 The Basics

Here, keep these in mind. There are people all over the world who have varying hair types. Some have frizzy hair while others have bouncy, some have curly locks and others have straight hair. The hair treatments and methods depend on your hair type, so research well before following any of these methods.

But here are a few things that you should definitely do, whatever hair type you may have.

Stay Hydrated

One cannot stress enough how water does wonder for your body. Staying hydrated ensures healthy locks. Having at least 7-8 glasses of water per day makes you enough hydrated! Do not shy away to throw in some fruits too!

Eat Healthily

Your hair should get the right number of vitamins and proteins. Your hair is made of proteins, and a new and improved diet will make sure that you grow healthier hair. Stock up on iron and protein-rich foods!

Avoid tight bounds

Avoid tying your hair too tightly or putting them in tight braids. Because this can lead to increased friction and further breakage of your hair.

Try using scrunchies instead!

Pillow type

Prefer a silk pillow cover over any other material. Cotton pillow covers may happen to increase friction between them and your hair. Therefore, can lead to breakage.

Do not stress

Stress can lead to hair fall. So, take a deep breath and meditate to practice positivity.

Dry them correctly

Reminder – Be gentle with your hair. Avoid blow-drying them every time. Allow them to dry naturally! Moreover, do not use your regular towel for drying your hair, use a cotton t-shirt or sit in the sunshine!

Do not want your deliciously cleaned locks to break, right?

Do not brush your hair when they are wet, use your fingers instead. Use your fingers to untangle the knots and be gentle.

Similarly, use a wide-mouthed comb!

Hair Care

Wash your hair regularly

Well, is not this obvious? It is really important to wash your hair at regular intervals to remove dirt and extra oil from your hair. But make sure to not wash them daily.

  • Water with salt is bad for your hair. Make sure to rinse your hair with drinking water if there is a hard water supply in your area.
  • If your hair type is oily, you can wash them frequently, but if you have frizzy hair, it is suggested to wash your hair once or twice a week or two.
  • Avoid taking hot showers.

Trim them at regular intervals!

Shampoos and conditioners

Make it a point to not use shampoos with chemicals. Shampoos contain sulfates and parabens for producing more lather, but they can lead to skin irritation. So be gentle with your hair and use shampoos with fewer chemicals. You can also go for naturally made shampoos.

Make sure to get a shampoo according to your hair type.

Do not forget to condition your hair after you finish washing them. Apply your conditioner to the tips of your hair, leave it for a bit and then rinse them. Conditioner protects your hair from damage and also makes them more manageable.

Go for deep conditioning once a month.

Oil

Use warm oil to massage and oil your scalp. It helps increase blood circulation!

 Switch to natural methods

Here are some things which you can find in your kitchen, for sure! Not only are they easily available, but also good for your hair.
