Talking to The New Indian Express, she said, “I never expected to win the Ms. Trans Global India title. I was ecstatic. This being the pride month, it is a push to my community too. It’s a huge opportunity and I am proud to be able to represent my country and my community at the global platform.”. Although, the model fully transitioned herself in 2018 and went on to win the Ms. Trans Global India title. The event will be held virtually due to the pandemic. The event will start with an introductory round, then on to the question and answer round, talent round, and finally the bikini round. Sruthy says that the pandemic made it difficult to make arrangements. Although, she has her grooming sessions and costumes planned.
The model is upset that she cannot meet the other participants physically. However, the model explained how her parents were understanding of her decision, although she faced bullying in school. She believes as she was working with the Social Justice department, it made things slightly easy for her. It is also the model’s dream to act in Malayalam movies. Hence, Sruthy hopes to change the scene and wants to get more transgender representations on screen.
