Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar is a huge advocate for environmental issues and it’s protection. The pandemic or global warming or animal safety form an integral part of her social media. On World Environment Day, she urges the youth to take a step towards protecting mother nature.

In a conversation with Indulge Express, she said, “I remember when we were children and I was in school and our country was hit by a natural calamity, our parents would send us for drives to collect donations so that we could give back to the people affected.”. Bhumi Pednekar explained how all the experiences in her childhood shaped her as a person. She is also thankful to her parents for opening up this world to her. When asked about the current climate crisis, Bhumi Pednekar said that massive change is needed to prevent further damage. “You cannot mess with nature because it is going to give it back to you and it really doesn’t matter then if you are rich or poor.”, she exclaimed. She also works for the social media platform Climate Warrior and Covid Warrior.
Bhumi Pednekar also feels that when one is an influencer, it is one’s duty to give back. The actress said, “I feel it is my responsibility to give back and I try doing that through various ways in my personal life and also through the films that I do because I feel like my work and my art needs to reflect what I believe in”. Bhumi hopes that after 10 years, all the battles fought for Mother Earth would result in some change. She also worked with Art Of Living’s #MissionZindagi to provide Covid aid to those in need.
