We welcomed the pride month on June 1, early this week. Bollywood celebrities like Ananya Pandey, Mithila Palkar, and Sharad Kelkar took to their social media to wish their fans and followers. Pride month is celebrated all over the world and India too shares its heartfelt support for the community.
Khaali Peeli actress, Ananya Pandey shared a picture of the rainbow flag of the LGBTQIA+ community on her Instagram story. Along with this, she wrote in her story, “Love always wins. As a way of showing her support for the community. Moreover, Mithila Palkar, a famous OTT actress, wished her fans, with a post on Instagram. In the picture, the actress is sitting in front of a shop with a unicorn and colorful balloons on display. She captioned it as, “Bringing the Unicorn back! Happy Pride Month, err’baady!”.
Actor Sharad Kelkar also took to his Instagram to wish his fans. He shared a picture of his character Laxman Sharma or Laxmi from the film, Laxmii. Laxmii released in 2020. The actor plays the role of a transgender woman in the film. He expressed his respect for the community in the caption. “Acknowledge their presence and spread love because all they need is – Love, Respect, and Equality!”, he wrote. Also, using the hashtags, #lgbtpride, and #equality with it. Actors like Sonam Kapoor and Ridhi Dogra also sent wishes through Instagram.
