8 Make-Up Tips For Male Beginners

by WMH-INDIA / Wednesday, 20 January 2021 / Published in Blog

For generations, makeup has been seen as a “girls only” business, so we forget that it has not always been so. Slowly but surely the beauty industry seems to be moving in the direction of more inclusive, in terms of race and gender diversity. Brands like CoverGirl, Rimmel, and MAC have recently put men in the middle of their marketing campaigns.

It’s easy to imagine that before walking down the red carpet, a typical male celebrity simply straightened his hair, slipped on a style suit, and headed for his path. No one really asks the boys how they are getting ready for the evening. But in reality, the men on the list spend a lot of time confused before entering the front of the cameras.

1. Skin Care is important

Many guys think a bar of soap and some water is all they need for their skincare regime but they actually put their skin at risk. They do not take steps to protect their skin from damage by UVA and UVB rays. The first thing boys need to do is to determine their skin type. Once you know this, you need to choose a cleanser designed for your specific skin type. You will also need a moisturizer with SPF 15 for the day.

2. Apply Primer

The primer repairs the skin of everything else that follows, allowing it to move more easily and last longer. With your primer, make one dot on your forehead, one on your nose, one on each side of your cheeks, and one on your chin. Then use your hands or brush to blend it. It is not an important step, but the right shape can also have additional benefits, such as oil control.

3. Use color correctors

Use color correctors in areas where needed. Apply with your fingers, sponge, or brush on your skin. Color correctors are made to adjust the colors you want to be gone. Some primers are formulated for color corrections. The bad thing about this is that this has to be covered with foundation or concealer. For Redness use green concealer. For deep skin tones with dark circles use a reddish counselor.

4. BB and CC Cream / Foundation

Apply your base cream, BB cream, or CC cream. Put three dots on your forehead, one on your nose, one on each side, one on your chin, and a few on your neck and mix with your fingers, sponge, or brush. Make sure you blend well. Remember that this step is to bring out the tone of your face.

 5. Compact Powder

For Oily / combo skin it is recommended. If you have dry skin then skip this step. Take your setting powder, with your brush or compact, and lightly apply the product to your t-area (t zone your forehead, nose). Setting your face with powder is good.

6. Beard filling

Filling the beard is like an automatic pencil that makes the beard and mustache look fuller and more detailed. It is best to visually fill the bare spots on the chin or barrel and hold the beard design that would otherwise be impossible because of the thin beard. A beard filling can help fill in those small spots and make your beard look flawless.

7. Fill in the Eyebrow

If your eyebrows are very bushy, apply brow mascara or apply brow gel through to neaten them. Eye-Brows mascaras come in colors (match with the color of your brows) or clear.

8. Set your makeup with a spray

Spray your face after the makeup. Hold the bottle 5 to 8 inches across your face and spray. This will keep your makeup in place for the rest of the day. Don’t forget to apply lip balm too. Look for long-lasting sprays to look fresh all day long, or if you plan to go to the gym.

Conclusion

The makeup for men has come a long way. Skin and cosmetic markets have long been dominated by women, but men are increasingly joining. Men naturally have strong features so, when you put on makeup on the face, it naturally looks amazing and bright. Today, you can find cosmetics designed for a boy’s skin. Do not be afraid to go to a professional cosmetic consultant like the ones behind the tables of supermarkets. They can help with difficult parts like getting make-up that matches your skin tone. Products advertised by women will work for you as well. Applying makeup on open or bleeding areas can make those areas look worse. Wait until they close. Instead of knowing your measurements, you need to know the exact shade that will suit you. And like our bodies, which tend to give less and take less depending on the season, your complexion changes according to the sunlight.
