TV actress Rubina Dilaik won the title of Bigg Boss 14 this year. She has come up with the plan to auction her winning gown to support LGBTQIA+. However, she never leaves a chance to extend a helping hand to the community. This is her interesting way of celebrating Pride Month.
She has decided to auction the gown on an online charity sale that aims to benefit the transgender community. Rubina also draws attention to this issue and tries to mobilize it. She has decided to put her outfit for sale which includes her winning gown, gown she worn at the entry, her outfit from the music video “Marjaneya”. Therefore, the proceed will benefit the NGO “color Positive” which takes a holistic approach to support LGBTQIA+.
Rubina is appreciated for her role as a transgender in the TV serial “Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki”. Since then she has been raising her voice to support the community. Rubina feels proud that she is helping the cause. She says, “The LGBTQIA+ community has been long suppressed and if I can be the voice, I feel humbled enough”. Further, Rubina quoted, “I have seen a change in myself, a human revolution in acknowledging this community, working with them, and knowing them. So more than a professional, it has been a personal evolution which has worked for my own betterment”.
