Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is always vocal about sensitive and social causes on social media and through his films. On Monday, the actor drew attention to the new pride flag which has been unveiled aiming to make the movement more gender-inclusive.
The actor played the role of a gay man in the movie “Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan”. He feels, as actors they are fortunate enough to raise awareness about such important issues. He is also the celebrity advocate of UNICEF.
Ayushmaan speaking about the intersex movement said that he tries to bring focus towards inclusivity as much as possible with his films and social media. Moreover, he feels that people should be aware of the intersex movement. Therefore, he is trying his bit by speaking about pride month.
The pride flag has seen many modifications over the years. Initially, American gay rights activist, Gilbert Baker designed it. The flag first flew at the San Francisco Gay Freedom day parade on 25, June 1978. The new design of the flag is more inclusive and incorporates LGBTQIA+ and is led by Valentino Vecchietti.
